I was tasked with developing the brand identity for Cannapucks, a new-to-market cannabis product featuring THC- and CBD-infused oral pouches.

Creative Brief
The Objective
The goal was to build a cannabis brand for a new line of oral pouches infused with THC and CBD — designed for active users seeking balance between performance and wellness. Drawing inspiration from hockey culture, the branding needed to blend a sense of athletic energy with recovery and focus.
My role was to establish the visual identity and tone for the brand, develop a launch video, and create both motion and still assets tailored for retailer displays and social media audiences.
Concept & Direction
Ideation
Following the hockey theme, I built out some still graphics inspired by sports posters and trading cards. Using that as a basis, I built out a general look and feel for Cannapucks as a brand, as well as some designs for individual flavours.

Takeaways
Cannapucks was a project that entrusted me with significant responsibility in developing the visual identity for a new brand. The process involved extensive exploration and multiple iterations to refine the visual direction before arriving at the final identity. This experience was invaluable, as it allowed me to build a brand from the ground up while further strengthening my skills, creative judgment, and understanding of visual identity systems as a designer.
